Governments have started helping people financially in building installations with regards to non – harmful energy means. An example of such is getting a solar panel grant.
Pollution emission has already reached its peak and has continued on to surpass its summit every day. With the growing economies worldwide, more demands are placed, more interests are born, and consequently more work has to be put in, more factories to be built and eventually more pollution to be exhaled to the atmosphere. And so, a greener movement is at hand. People have begun resisting this harmful trend. Technologies which are now being developed help lessen the carbon emissions that further the suffering of the already wounded planet. With the knowledge on renewable energy sources, people have now begun being concerned and started switching to the safer energy means. However, this transition can cost too many resources. And so,
Through Solar Panel Grants or Solar Rebates, people’s expenses with regards to solar system installations are subsidised by the government. Usually a rebate is within the $800 – $2500 range, the amount varies depending on the size of the system and its productivity. In the United States there are two types of Solar Grants. The first one is the Photovoltaic (PV) Heating Generation. Most Solar Grants in the US are PV grants. A PV system is basically a solar heating system that collects and stores energy which is used in heating the water to be used. The other grant is Solar-Panel Generated Heat which directly heats the pipe. There are fewer grants in the United States for this option because this is an older version of a water heating system and this structure has no moving parts, making it less viable for the marketing economy.
In Australia, a huge project which began in 2007 and will continue up to 2013 is the main reason why this country has so much involvement in the solar industry. The project aims to build several solar cities across mainland Australia. It was funded with A$7 million from the beginning where budgets were seen increasing through the years. The first cities to be included on the list were Adelaide, Alice Springs, Blacktown, Central Victoria and Townsville, the next two cities added to the list were Coburg and Perth. In Victoria, the two types of solar grants are the Metropolitan Melbourne Solar Hot Water Rebate and the Regional Victoria Solar Hot Water Rebate. These two can help save $800 – $1500 and $1900 – $2500, respectively.
